Remembrance Day 2024

Remembrance Day -“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” — Thomas Campbell

❤️Today, we remember those who sacrificed everything for our freedom. Let’s reflect on their bravery and honor their legacy. May we carry their memory in our hearts and strive to live lives worthy of their sacrifice.

Today, let us remember and cherish the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, ensuring that our nation remains a land of the free. Let us carry their spirit forward in our hearts. May we strive to build a world worthy of their bravery, filled with peace and compassion.🌹

2021:

This week, in observation of Remembrance Day, we have several activities planned in our programs. These include poppy arts and crafts, historical discussions about Remembrance Day, and sharing stories and mementos from individuals with veterans in their families.

The pictures below were all taken from one of our Adult Day Programs. Sarah, Manager of Adult Day Programs, holds a ‘greatcoat’ that belonged to her late father while he was in the Navy during the World War. Sarah told stories and shared old photographs of her father from when he served in the Navy.
