Service Description
Our transportation service provides rides to seniors and adults with disabilities travelling to medical appointments, day and community programs, social trips and monthly group shopping excursions. We offer clean and comfortable vehicles and professional and friendly drivers.
Transportation is provided by ESS staff using agency vehicles and volunteers using their own vehicles. ESS also works in partnership with other not-for-profit agencies to help meet as many ride requests as possible. ESS Support Services is a member of both Toronto Ride and iRIDE community transportation programs.
Health and Safety
Clients and their caregivers are expected to passively screen themselves prior to receiving services or attending programs and to immediately report the presence of symptoms or risks.
While we promote a “mask-friendly” environment, the use of masks is strongly encouraged during the provision of care and while in program spaces and vehicles if tolerated.
Eligibility
Seniors and adults with disabilities, who do not drive, are unable to use public transit, are ineligible for Wheeltrans, or require an escort, are eligible to use our service.
In order to use our transportation, all passengers must be able to weight bear and manage stairs with minimal one-person assist. An escort can be arranged for those requiring assistance to and from appointments. There is an additional fee for this service. Please call for more details.

Hours of Operation
Staff are available to speak with you Monday to Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Ride Requests
All passengers must register with ESS prior to making a ride request. Please call 416-243-0127 ext. 555 to register and/or book your ride.
If you have to cancel your ride request, we require at least 24 hours’ notice. If you are unable to give us 24 hours’ notice, you will be billed for what would have been the one-way charge to your appointment.
