Program Description

*** COVID-19 SERVICE UPDATE ***

As of September 28, 2020, we have re-opened one of our Adult Day Program locations on a part-time, limited capacity basis.  Our South location (525 Horner Avenue, Etobicoke) is operating 3 mornings per week. This program is currently only available to existing ESS Adult Day Program clients.  ESS is strictly and consistently reviewing all relevant Public Health and Ministry of Health documents regarding Adult Day Program in-person services.  We have put specific health and safety measures into place for the re-opening of this program:  Pandemic Guidance for Clients and Caregivers – South Site

All of our other in-person Adult Day Program locations are currently suspended until further notice. Current clients are welcome to join our telephone or virtual programs while we are closed due to COVID-19. Please call 416-243-0127 for more information.

If you are facing an urgent challenge, please call 416-243-0127 and we will get back to you as soon as we are able. Please refer to this page for further agency updates and COVID-19 resources. We encourage you to sign up for our eNews system to receive our updates directly.

If you are experiencing symptoms of the virus, self-isolate and visit a health care professional or call your local public health authority (Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000).

Our Adult Day Service (ADS) program provides support to adults and seniors who have a cognitive impairment and are physically frail. This program allows caregivers to receive some respite during the day to rest, recharge and complete everyday tasks.

We provide a supportive environment with social, therapeutic and recreational activities, along with gentle physical and mental exercises to stimulate and engage the individuals attending our program. Nutritional, well-balanced prepared meals are provided during the day including a morning and afternoon snack and full lunch. Click here for a sample lunch menu.

Transportation may also be available upon request for an additional fee (based on availability).
