Program Description
Our Volunteer Visiting and Telephone Reassurance program provides weekly telephone calls to seniors and adults with disabilities who may be isolated and not have access to social programs within the community.
Individuals are matched with ESS volunteers, with calls occurring weekly based on a mutually agreed-upon schedule. The volunteer’s role is to provide social companionship, a listening ear, and to engage in friendly and casual conversation.
Eligibility
An assessment by an ESS Case Manager is required to determine eligibility for this program. Please call our administrative office at 416-243-0127 ext. 503 for further information.

No cost.
Locations
This is a virtual and telephone-based service. Volunteers will be calling older adults living in the Etobicoke community. In-person volunteer visiting is temporarily on hold.

Based on the availability of the individual receiving service and the volunteer.
