In July 2022, we participated in Give65, an online crowd-fundraising program of Home Instead Charities. Our goal was to raise enough funds to help support the purchase and installation of an emergency generator for our overnight respite and adult day program Centre located at 30 Rosemount Ave., York (Toronto).
We are excited to share that with the help of over 40 donors, we received $12,476 in funds to put towards the purchase of a generator for our Centre on Rosemount. This includes $5,100 in matching dollars and a $500 grant from Home Instead Charities for having the second highest number of campaign donors.
A generator is essential to keeping the community members who stay in our Caring Centre and participate in our day program safe, with access to heat and food in case of a power outage.
We wish to extend our gratitude and thanks to our donors and supporters who helped share our campaign. Their generosity and participation in Give65 allowed us to receive these crucial extra dollars and to buy this essential piece of equipment.
