Community Support Month

October is Community Support Month

“Community support services support over one million Ontarians each year, including seniors and people with disabilities”, and “the need is growing.” – Ontario Community Support Association

Community support services play a crucial role in helping our community members by delivering essential home and community services.  They support seniors, vulnerable persons with disabilities, the needs of caregivers, and reduce burdens on our health care system.

Community Support Month recognizes the direct service workers and volunteers providing essential home and community care services across Ontario through community and non-profit agencies.

“Every day, ESS staff and volunteers are providing compassionate care and community services to help our clients live independently at home for as long as possible. They provide respite for families and continue to show their dedication to our clients in providing the best quality of service. This shines through in their daily interactions. They lead with care, holding them at the centre of all that they do.” – Alison Coke, CEO, ESS Support Services

Thank you to all our team members who support our clients and families using our Adult Day Programs, Respite and In-Home Services, Health and Wellness Groups Programs, Transportation Services, Caregiver Support Programs, and Friendly Visiting Services. Here’s to celebrating you!
