Vibrant Seniors: ESS Health and Wellness Clients

Next up in our Seniors’ Month “Living Your Best Life” series are our Health and Wellness clients.

ESS currently coordinates Social Recreation groups in a variety of Seniors Residence buildings in Etobicoke, along with group fitness classes for seniors in various locations throughout the community.

Our Health and Wellness clients spent some time reflecting as a group on what “Living Your Best Life” meant them.  Here are a few of their thoughts:

  • Being happy, healthy, comfortable and making the most of the time you have left
  • Not falling; keeping active and eating well
  • Having free time and doing whatever you’d like and you can
  • Laughing and spending time with family and friends
  • Not worrying about work and avoiding stress
  • Traveling and life adventures
  • Get up singing everyday and waking up to see the sun
  • Always learning, staying busy and keeping the child within you alive
  • Having the luxury of enjoying all of your hobbies
  • Going to shows and enjoying good food
  • To feel free with yourself and help others and yourself feel good
  • Time to think, time for activities and making new friends
  • Enjoy independence, and the strength and experience of aging
  • Staying in my own house and looking after the garden
  • Keeping passions alive
