Once a month our Alderwood Day Program receives a visit from a volunteer dog named Corbyn and his owner Linda.  Corbyn is a 9 year old Golden Retriever who is a Canadian Grand Champion, Best in Specialty show winner, and Canadian Obedience Champion.

Recently, Corbyn dropped by for a visit to help celebrate Canada’s upcoming birthday with the seniors attending this program.  Upon arrival, Corbyn takes time to greet each senior one-by-one to say hello.  He loves to perform tricks for the seniors such as doing figure eight’s and retrieving hidden items. Corbyn’s visits are a highlight and have been calming for some of the seniors as they reminisce about their past pets.  It is wonderful to see the joy and pleasure that Corbyn brings – their faces light up as they pet and play with him.

In his spare time, Corbyn is the main demonstration dog at Tri-Mark Canine Services where he teaches hundreds of dogs to be good canine citizens.
