We are in the process of building a new Centre and are participating in this year’s GIVE65 fundraiser to help raise money to support the start-up operations of this new space. Our goal is to raise $25,000. Your donations will help us create a safe and engaging place where seniors can flourish together with dignity, and is suitable for the special needs of seniors with cognitive impairments.
What is GIVE65?
A 65-hour, online fundraising event developed by Home Instead Senior Care Foundation of Canada.
What is ESS raising funds for?
“The focus of ESS’ campaign for this year’s GIVE65 is our new Centre, at 30 Rosemount Avenue, York ON.
This Centre, which is currently under construction, will provide 24/7 care for up to 12 seniors and older adults in need of overnight respite. A safe and welcoming ‘home-away-from-home’ will be created for caregivers to book their loved once for short stays. It will also incorporate an Adult Day Program to be enjoyed by clients staying overnight and day visitors.
Any funds raised through GIVE65 will support the start-up operations, including the purchase of appliances, furniture and equipment, for our new Centre.
We are very excited to open our new location. The need to provide such a facility to help caregivers get a break from time to time is critical.”
– Alison Coke, CEO, ESS Support Services
When is GIVE65?
GIVE65 takes place over a 65-hour period from July 15-17, 2020. Donations can be made on our fundraising page anytime during this window. BUT, your donation can be DOUBLED through matching funds by the Foundation when you schedule your donation/gift during an early-bird window from July 13 – 14.
DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT. Schedule your gift from July 13 – 14.
You can help us win up to $5,000 by making a scheduled gift. A scheduled gift means making your donation during an early-bird window from July 13-14 before the GIVE65 event goes live July 15-17. Gifts made during this time are eligible to be matched up to $5,000.
Gifts will be matched on a first-come, first-served basis. Meaning, the sooner you schedule your donation during the early-bird window, the better chance your gift is of being matched (Eg. A $20 gift will = a $40 gift). The Foundation has a limited amount of matching funds to gift. Donations will be matched in the order they are received until the pool of available matching funds is exhausted. The early-bird window opens July 13 @ 1:01AM EST.
How to schedule your donation:
- Create an account on www.give65.ca. *See: How to create an account.
- Visit our fundraising page as early as possible from July 13-14. *The early-bird window opens on July 13 at 1:01am EST*

Note: An account does not need to be created if you choose to donate during GIVE65 from July 15-17. It is only required for scheduled donations from July 13-14.
BONUS GRANTS. Every donation counts.
Not only does it help us get closer to our $25,000 fundraising goal, but your donation can also help us receive a $2,500 bonus grant. The agency with the highest number of unique donors, will be awarded a bonus grant of $2,500 (1 person = 1 unique donor).
Help us raise funds by creating a personalized crowd-funding page to share with people you know.
You can add a personal message on your Hope Page to tell people why you support ESS and how they can help be a part of bringing our new Centre to life. Once created, you can share your page from July 13-17 to help us raise funds. Please note, you must create an account to make a Hope Page. *See: How to create a Hope Page.
