Rebekah Churchyard, Founder of Green Care Farms Inc.
Presentation: Empowering people with dementia. Green Care Farms provide an outdoor day program for people with dementia on a farm. Learn more about Green Care Farms, its benefits and new programming at the Farm. Rebekah is the Founder of the first and only Dementia Care Farm in Canada.
Amanda Jewson, Founder of Rest My Best
Presentation: Learn about the importance of adult sleep. Learn how to differentiate between normal sleep patterns and insomnia. We will discuss the common signs and symptoms of insomnia, as well as ways to identify when your sleep troubles may be due to other factors. Walk away with strategies for improving your sleep hygiene and creating healthy sleep habits to help you get a better night’s rest.

Vera Cheng, Psychotherapist, Talk Therapy With Vera
Presentation: How to spot the signs and symptoms of caregiver burnout. Learn coping strategies and ways to support yourself as a caregiver. Note this presentation is not included in the recording.
Carrie Briscoe, Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging
Presentation: The Murray Alzheimer Research and Education Program (MAREP) is a collaborative research and education program that works with people living with dementia, care partners, health and social care providers, and community members, to enhance the well-being of individuals impacted by dementia. This presentation will highlight one of MAREP’s resources, the By Us For Us Guides, which were designed by people living with dementia and care partners to help enhance their wellbeing.
