ESS Support Services is pleased to share that Delrose Armstrong has been announced as this year’s winner of the annual Personal Support Worker (PSW) of the Year Award.
The PSW of the Year Award acknowledges work history and recognizes Personal Support Workers who meet high standards of criteria. This includes extensive and current knowledge of the field, an exceptional level of patient care, a commitment to advocacy, guidance and leadership, and going beyond the call of duty.
A dedicated PSW, Delrose Armstrong has been working for ESS Support Services for 17 years. Delrose is a shining example of what a PSW and team member should exemplify. In her role as PSW Team Leader, Delrose draws on her many years of experience and knowledge. She demonstrates consistency in meeting the highest quality standards of service, providing onsite team leadership, training for students, keeping her skills and knowledge up to date, ensuring that client physical and emotional needs are being met and that client independence is being encouraged.
A highly regarded professional and client care advocate, Delrose keeps her clients best interests and needs in mind and approaches her job and clients with the utmost professionalism, respect, compassion and dignity.

The award was presented by Deborah Simon, Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Community Support Association, at their annual Training Conference on Thursday, October 20, 2016. The PSW of the Year Award is provided by the Personal Support Network of Ontario.
