Nickole Reid consistently demonstrated exceptional compassion, professionalism, and dedication in supporting a resident for many years, enabling her to age in place with dignity and comfort until the age of 102. Through her kindness, patience, respect for autonomy, and calm leadership during both daily care and critical situations, Nickole became an indispensable member of the resident’s care team. Her outstanding organizational, communication, and caregiving skills provided invaluable support and peace of mind to both the resident and her family.

About Nickole:

She has been with ESS for 10 years.

“The absolute favorite part of my job is listening to stories from my clients about their lives from decades prior. It is amazing to get first-hand information about the world before I was born. I never get tired of hearing stories from different clients about their experience of Hurricane Hazel, the CN Tower being built, and paying two dollars to enter the observation deck. And “My favorite memory at ESS is all the Christmas holidays of us handing out gifts to our clients; from the excitement of organizing the gifts, to delivering them and seeing the reaction on each of out clients face is the absolute best”.

Between work and family obligations, her free time is extremely limited; she has committed to self-care and is trying hard to make time for it.
