The Special Senior Caregiver Program provides professional supports for older adults (ages 55+) caring for adults (ages 18+) who are living with developmental disabilities. The focus of the program is to provide supports for both the caregiver(s) and their loved one using case managers operating in Etobicoke and York Region.

Being a caregiver can be both rewarding and overwhelming. We understand that at times it can be emotionally and physically stressful, and that you may be in need of extra support to help you cope with being a caregiver.

This program also includes a monthly virtual caregiver support group that is a safe space for caregivers to share their personal experiences, speak with peers, and learn useful tips about caregiving for their loved ones with developmental disabilities, along with occasional special events, wellness and educational opportunities.

Open to older adult caregivers (ages 55+) caring for adults (ages 18+) with developmental disabilities.

Please call the Special Senior Caregiver Program Manager at 416-243-0127 ext. 262 for further program information.
