Service Description
Our Mobile Food Bank service provides weekly food hampers to Etobicoke seniors who are experiencing barriers to accessing other food banks.
As a member of the Daily Bread Food Bank, we receive weekly supplies of donated food items. Our team stocks hampers with grocery items received to, as best possible, reflect that of a well-balanced diet and to accommodate individual dietary restrictions. Once boxed, the hampers are delivered directly to the client’s door.
Eligibility
This service is available to persons’ ages 55 and over who are experiencing barriers to accessing other food banks. To inquire or to register for the Mobile Food Bank, please contact our Intake line at 416-243-0127 ext. 503 If you are a member of another food bank please have your client number ready for the registration process.
Fees
There is no cost to receive this service.
Locations
This is a mobile service. Food hampers are delivered by an ESS driver directly to the client’s door.
Hours of Operation
Food hamper deliveries take place every Wednesday or Friday morning.
