Volunteers; we appreciate you!
At the end of May we held our annual Volunteer Appreciation event. Volunteers enjoyed lunch at the Weston Golf & Country Club and a private magic show by James Allan.
ESS has over 200 volunteers who collectively give thousands of hours to support our mission and the people we support in our community. We have many longstanding volunteers who have been with us for 5, 10, 15, 20 and even 30 years! We are so thankful for the people who support us on a daily basis – they are truly talented, giving, selfless and caring individuals who are making our communities a better place for seniors and their caregivers. The relationships they create with staff, clients, caregivers and volunteers make our programs and services that much more special. Volunteers support us in almost all that we do – from helping serve well-balanced meals, helping with recreation program activities and providing in-home social visits to sitting on a steering committee, fundraising and driving seniors to medical appointments and community programs.
Thank you volunteers for all that you do at ESS. We hope it was a magical afternoon for you!
