The Board of Directors of Etobicoke Services for Seniors (ESS) is pleased to announce Taras Rohatyn to the position of Chief Executive Officer effective February 5th, 2018. Dolores Ellerker is retiring after 33 years of starting and building ESS to its current success.

Taras has a broad background in financial services, government, and numerous not-for-profit charities including the Association for Persons with Physical Disabilities, Alzheimer’s Foundation for Caregiving, Sts. Peter and Paul Seniors Residence, and the North York Family Health Team.

He was the Recipient of the Ontario Medical Society’s Community Service Award in 2002. He has an extensive history of community involvement both locally and nationally. He is currently a Director for the Ukrainian Credit Union Limited, Chair of the UNF Foundation, and President of the UNF Oshawa Branch.

Taras has an Honours BA from Laurentian University, and an Honours BComm and BBA from the University of Windsor.

Taras is very humbled with being selected for the role of CEO, and is excited about the opportunity of leading a progressive and forward-thinking organization such as ESS. He looks forward to working with the Board of Directors, Dolores Ellerker, and the professional staff and volunteers. He states he has “very large shoes to fill”, yet looks forward to the challenges that lie ahead in providing services to seniors to maintain and assist them in living independently in our community.

Taras brings extensive experience in the healthcare sector to our agency, and we look forward to him leading the agency in providing more services in our community.
